The port is the best known “trade mark” of the City. A major part of the hundreds of port employees are residents of Ashdod. The Port jealously strengthens the relation with the city and takes part in central events in the town. Over the years, a real partnership has developed between the principals of the port and the mayor of the city and those active in it. Consistently, many important projects of partnership in the community were nurtured.

We are committed to the city and pledge that the partnership between the port corporation and the City of Ashdod will continue into the future.

Among the events in which we recently participated:

1. “The Music Port” - a classical music festival, dedicated in the memory of lieutenant general (Res.) Refael Eitan. The music festival dedicated in his memory is an additional and original layer in the mark of this person’s activity. We are proud to take in this gesture and announce the hitting of the road of the festival “Port of Music”, here at the Port of Ashdod that will become a tradition.
2. Cooperation with the “Etgarim” fellowship: Since four years, the Port of Ashdod Company is involved in a successful and fruitful cooperation with the “Etgarim” marine center, at the Ashdod Marina. Lately, the committee of the equipment department of the port company assisted in the purchase of sea hang gliders for deaf children, as part of the memorial activity for the victims of the terrorist act in the port. The activity of the center includes sailboat sailing, kayak rowing for special population such as impaired vision and blind, cerebral palsy victims, youth at risk and others. In the framework of the cooperation with the management and employees of the Port of Ashdod, about 120 children and youth participate regularly in activities.
